I’m a happily married woman, and I wouldn’t have it any other way, but I still appreciate the people out there who’ve stuck with the single life for this long. Sometimes I think about what it would be like to just go out on the town like I used to, grab a bunch of the girls and get wasted at the local bar, or even hit a club if we were in the mood to let loose and drop some cash. There are even days that I legitimately miss the taste of a juicy, strip club steak.

That’s not a euphemism either. It’s a little known fact that strip clubs cook the best steaks, although I couldn’t tell you why. I can, however, vouch for this theory using my own first hand accounts. But, I digress.

I suppose us married lesbian ladies could still do all that stuff, but the barrage of texts and voicemails from our significant others would just be too much to bare and, eventually, we’d end up calling it an early night, and then head home to curl up with a movie and our wife in her favorite sweatpants.

Of course, if the tables were turned and my wife was heading out to the club with her own wild group of friends, I’d be even more jealous than she would about me. And with good reason, my wife is fucking gorgeous, a brunette beauty with a toned waist but curves in all the right places. The thought of another woman even looking at her sideways makes me overwhelmed with jealous rage.

I know that it’s unhealthy, I really do, but the first step to overcoming a problem is admitting that you have it.

I wish it could be different. I want to be one of those couples who are open and free, somehow still the life of the party even though they’ve happily labeled themselves as sexually off limits until death do them part. How do they manage this wild and flirtatious lifestyle without freaking out all the time, without immediately seizing up at the precise moment they see their partner talking to another attractive person? It’s a question worth getting to the bottom of, I’ve decided, and tonight is the night that I begin my quest towards a better way.

I may be old fashioned but, if there’s one thing I like, it’s an opportunity for self-improvement.
